Girls State: High school junior girls get to live on campus at Michigan State University in East Lansing for a week and learn and get involved in how our government operates.
A 5-day program at the Michigan State Police Training Academy located on Canal Road in Lansing, MI in July Oratorical Contest: The purpose of this program is to provide high school students with a deeper understanding of the Constitution of the United States, develop and sharpen their speaking skills, and compete for scholarship money ranging from $800 - $1,500 (Department Contest) and $14,000 - $18,000 SCHOLORSHIPS!!!
Scholarships: Department level scholarship awards range from $800 to $1500, with Zone runner-ups receiving $200. At the National level they range from $14,000 to $18,000.
Eagle Scout of the Year: Nominate an Eagle scout for his achievements.
This award is designed to recognize American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary or Sons of The American Legion members who are actively involved in the Scouting program. |
